Breakthrough in Energy Transition: Hydrogen Boron Fusion Reshaps Global Landscape

Under the urgent need for accelerated transformation of the global energy structure and the "dual carbon" goal, hydrogen boron fusion is becoming a new highlight in the field of fusion research with its unique advantages. Compared to traditional nuclear energy technology, hydrogen boron fusion can be regarded as an ideal "future energy". Its reaction product is helium nucleus, which has no neutron radiation pollution and eliminates nuclear safety hazards from the root. Hydrogen boron fuel is inexhaustible, with hydrogen widely present in water and boron reserves in the Earth's crust far exceeding those of oil and coal. The boron resources in the Qaidam Basin in Qinghai Province alone are sufficient to support global energy demand for over a thousand years. The product of the hydrogen boron reaction is charged alpha particles, which can achieve efficient direct power generation. Its many characteristics give it a significant advantage in energy conversion efficiency, expanding the imagination space for commercial applications and further stimulating global attention.

The key breakthrough in the field of hydrogen boron fusion is accelerating. The "Xuanlong-50U" spherical ring hydrogen boron device independently developed by Xinao Group has achieved significant breakthroughs in the first half of this year, which not only verifies the core feasibility of commercialization of hydrogen boron fusion, but also marks China's fusion device entering the international advanced level. Since deepening its cultivation in this field in 2017, Xinao has built a full chain research and development capability, and the next generation spherical ring fusion experimental device with internationally leading overall parameters, the "Helong-2" plan, is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
